The place
Tucked above Fajã da Ovelha, Raposeira looks straight down a nearly vertical 600-metre cliff to Paul do Mar, Jardim do Mar, and Prazeres spread along the coast below. It's less signposted than the big-name miradouros, so you often get the guardrail to yourself.
When to come
Late afternoon, when the low sun picks out the terraces on the cliffside below.
Worth knowing
- Small pull-off parking, no facilities
- Combine with the nearby Massapez viewpoint
- Not fenced everywhere, mind the edge with kids
- A few minutes from Fajã da Ovelha village
