The place
Boca do Risco's name nods to the exposed, fissure-like gap in the cliff right past the viewing point, but the payoff is one of the widest panoramas on the north coast, sweeping from Ponta de São Lourenço around to Penha d'Águia, with Porto Santo visible on a clear day. It's the usual turnaround point for people walking the Larano trail out of Porto da Cruz.

Clear, low-wind days only; the cliff edge is unprotected.

- No guardrails at the viewpoint - stay back from the edge
